Lay Director’s Message
March 2010
Just about the time you think you’ve seen it all, here comes some more. It was fun to see so many forever friends around the dinner tables. Thanks to Lights Reunion group for the set up and clean up. The Valentine’s on the tables were a great touch. Thrill Hill Reunion will be taking care of March. I’m still looking for a group for April. It’s not hard I promise.
It was great seeing the Team and Pilgrims from Women’s Walks #s 16 and18, LDs Sammye Campbell and Sheree Moates and Men’s Walk #19, LD Jim Campbell. Thank you all for your many years of service to our Community. What a legacy!
Thanks to Kim Shafer for your Fourth Day Talk. "Are you so busy doing the right thing that you’re wrong?" She gave us something very important to consider.
Please plan attend all the Community activities for Women’s Walk #54, March 4-7. Please continue to pray for Pilgrims that you might sponsor for Men’s Walk #55 July 15-18. Please also be in prayer for Terry Nichols as he prepares for the Men’s Walk.
I love you all so much.
DeColores!
Mindy Whittenburg

Name Tags

Scott Jimenez is in charge of Name tags, Please check with Scott at the next community meeting.
Sponsors, be sure to order nametags for your pilgrims. |
|
Book Table
|
| Remember to take books for the book table to First Methodist Church or bring them to community. We will continue to supply our own book table. |
|
Community Needs
|
| In order to be more effective the community needs two laptops and LCD projectors for the music and powerpoint productions for walks.
The projectors and laptops will enable us to always have the music available by using a screen to project the words. They would also enable the Music Teams to be familiar with their own equipment and not have to depend on borrowed equipment.
If you can help, please designate your offering or contact a board member.

Community Info
Your board has actively been pursuing ideas to improve our community attendance.
The goal of Emmaus is to have a community driven ministry which strengthens Christian workers by the opportunity for fellowship and accountability and sends them back to their churches to be actively involved.
Walks are intended for the growth of Christian leaders and it is through community involvement that we are to continue that growth in the fourth days.
Please plan to attend the walk reunions scheduled for the next several community meetings and remember the new format of a covered dish supper.
We want to rebuild our community for the glory of God.
Please support the Candlelights & Community Meetings.

Please send your lists to rickdan@suddenlink.net or mail them to Raylene Daniels, 2615 Cindy. Thank you in advance for you immediate attention to this request.
What a wonderful opportunity to fellowship and renew old friendships, especially with the walk reunions beginning. |
